Alaska is every cold place in its own but there are parts of Alaska that are colder than others. The coldest parts of Alaska are more in the direction of the Arctic Circle and Russia and that's where the weather gets to -40 degrees. Central Alaska is the warmest part and that's like Anchorage and Wasilla. Barrow and Nome are places that are in the red zone ( Arctic area) and has a very small population. Juneau and Sitka are in the green zone ( Marine ) are the warmer parts of Alaska. Dillingham and Lake and Peninsula are in the grayish color zone ( Cold Oceanic ) are one the warmer parts of Alaska. Fairbanks and North Pole are in the yellow part of the map ( Subarctic ) are the second coldest parts of Alaska. Unalaska and Cold Bay are in the Orange part of the map ( Warm Continental ) that are normally really warm maybe not the warmest but still warm.
Alaska's neighbors are Russia and Canada and because of where they are located they tend to share the same type of weather. Parts of Russia are unpopulated with many villages and people who hunt and fish for a living same thing with Canada small villages and ways to make a living.
