Alaska was two very well known countries right next to it. Like Russia it is 27 miles from Alaska and if the ice is thick enough you can walk to Russia or drive a snow machine. The best way to think of it is that its next to Nome up north in the north slope. Canada is a very close friend of he US and is also known for its similarities with Alaska. Alaskan State Troopers and the Troopers from Canada all come to together for a friendly competition for a trophy.
